Level 2: Preventative Evaluations

These evaluations typically require 30 to 60 minutes and often include the supervisor and employee in an interactive process geared at development of an ergonomic action plan to prevent a full blown injury. This level of assessment includes employee and supervisor education regarding the steps that need to be taken to prevent injury with specific responsibilities of the employee outlined. A written report is provided which summarizes the ergonomic risk factors; the action plan discussed, and sample sources for any suggested products. Level 2 evaluations are suggested when:

  • Employees have reported symptoms of repetitive strain injury
  • Employees or work groups perform high risk jobs such as data entry or jobs requiring repetitive material handling
